National league-Rainbow show league title intent |08 August 2012

Rainbow needed 66 minutes to dispatch Mont Fleuri 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 26-24) on Saturday at the La Promenade Gymnasium to stay unbeaten in 11 games for a maximum 33 points in their first year of existence.

In the men’s division two league, La Digue consolidated first place in the five-team standings with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-15) beating of runners-up Outsiders on Saturday, but they were brought back to earth by Air Waves who came from a set down to beat them 3-2 (12-25, 25-21, 25-23, 20-25, 16-14) on Sunday.

After earning a 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-17) victory over OSC Comets last Saturday, former women’s league division one champions Arsu will renew their battle with Cascade  this coming Saturday at the Palais des Sports. The match is scheduled for 2pm.

As for the men’s division one, Beau Vallon did not have to sweat to earn their seventh win in eight games as they walked over Praslin Warriors.
