Enquiry into beating of off-duty soldier-Complainant called to appear before enquiry panel |14 September 2012

A communiqué from the Ministry for Home Affairs and Transport writes that the complainant was invited to appear before the panel on Friday, but failed to do so as he had other commitment.

Another appointment has been given to the complainant, allowing him the opportunity to give an account of the incident.

Appointed by Home Affairs and Transport, the panel of enquiry consists of David Esparon from the attorney general’s office, medical doctor Laurence Reginald, forensics expert Dr Bushan Arora, Raymond St Ange, security consultant in the minister’s office, and Nirmal Shah.

The panel will submit its findings and recommendations to the minister as soon as it has gathered all information about the incident.
