Seychelles set to host its grand ball tomorrow |28 September 2012

Organised by the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB), the Seychelles Ball will be held at the Constance Ephelia Resort at Port Launay from 7pm till late in the evening.

In its third year, the Seychelles Ball is an annual event organised as the highlight of the country’s Tourism Week programme. It is organised as platform for government officials, trade members and stakeholders, as well as anyone wishing to enjoy the evening, to come together and network in a convivial atmosphere.

The Tourism Week is organised to commemorate the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) World Tourism Day 2012, which is taking place this year under the theme Tourism and Sustainable Energy: Powering Sustainable Development.

Guests at this grand evening tomorrow will be given a welcoming drink upon arrival, three bottles of wine and one bottle of Laurent Perrier Champagne per table, a chance to win prizes in the raffle and the opportunity to dance until the early hours of the morning.

“With Laurent Perrier Champagne, who coincidently is celebrating its 200th anniversary, and the East Indies (the local distributor for Laurent Perrier Champagne) being our sponsors, we hope to put on the best Seychelles Tourism Ball yet,” a spokesperson for STB said.

Tickets for the ball cost R1,200 and can be purchased at the STB head office at Bel Ombre and Information Office in Victoria.
