American hip-hop artists ‘Epiphany’ and ‘Ferocious’ said this in a press conference at the National Arts Council’s headquarters in Victoria yesterday.

Tonight’s concert is free of charge and is organised by the United States of America Embassy in Seychelles in honour of American journalist Daniel Jacob Pearl who was kidnapped and killed in Pakistan in 2002.

Pearl recognised the ability of music to bridge differences among people, and the first Daniel Pearl World Music Days was launched on October 10, 2002 by the Daniel Pearl Foundation.

A graduate of Stanford University  where he studied mechanical engineering, but started rapping at age 21, Epiphany has produced one album and has performed all over the southern United States.

Ferocious is a singer, songwriter and record producer born in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Earlier today, the two hip-hop artists will be at the Belonie secondary school and the National Youth Centre for interactive talks.
