Korean fashion show returns for Festival Kreol

The Korean fashion show in 2010

Scheduled to take place on October 31 at the Constance Ephelia resort, this Korean fashion show is organised as a cultural exchange between Korea and Seychelles, where traditional Korean-styled makeup and clothes will be on display in colourful hues with the exotic flavours of Seychelles Creole cuisine to be savoured, ideally when the whole of the islands is in full celebration of its heritage.

The event is organised by the Seychelles’ honorary consul Dong Chang Jeong and the office of the Seychelles Tourism Board in Seoul, South Korea, together with the Korea Foundation, INOCEAN M&C, Constance Ephelia Resort and Creole Travel Services.

Being a cultural exchange event, the Constance Ephelia resort’s Seselwa Restaurant has been earmarked as the host venue of the fashion show which is set to start at 7pm.

A seven-member high-level delegation from the Suncheon city of Korea, headed by its mayor, will attend the event as well as a group of nine Korean press members who will be travelling to Seychelles especially for the event.

Some 20 Seychellois models, including Miss Seychelles … Another World 2012 Sherlyn Furneau will be on the catwalk for this fashion show.

Apart from the fashion show, guests will be able to enjoy the country’s creole food and will receive three bottles of wine per table.

Tickets for this unique event cost R1,250 apiece and can be purchased at the STB head office and at the information office in Victoria.
