High-level delegation at IMF/World Bank annual meetings |13 October 2012

Central Bank governor Caroline Abel and other senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, Trade and Investment and the Central Bank make up the high-level delegation at the meeting which started yesterday and will run until tomorrow.

Prior to attending the annual meetings, the delegation took part in the Commonwealth finance ministers and Commonwealth Central Bank governors meetings.

The delegation also attended similar meetings for Francophone countries.
Besides various meetings with bilateral partners and multilateral organisations, Seychelles will also be showcasing its experience at the small states forum, where Minister Laporte will be a discussant on a panel on 'Leveraging blue economy'.

From Tokyo, Minister Laporte will go to Seoul, South Korea, where he will attend the 2012 Korea Africa Economic Cooperation (KOAFEC) ministerial conference which is jointly organised by the African Development Bank and the Republic of South Korea.
He will be accompanied by Ronald Cafrine, special advisor in the office of the minister.
