National Assembly-Education Minister to answer eight questions |06 November 2012

The questions will address issues relating to renovation of schools, scheme of service for teachers and qualified counsellors.

The Assembly will also consider the Public Finance Management Bill, 2012 which will seek to clarify and reform the system for the management and control of public money to make it more accountable and flexible, to articulate clearly the basic principles underlying government finance and to clarify the budgeting and accounting obligations of government agencies.

The Bill will be presented to the National Assembly by the Minister for Finance, Trade and Investment Pierre Laporte.

The Assembly will then consider two motions. The first Motion to be tabled by the Leader of Government Business Marie-Antoinette Rose will seek the Assembly’s approval for the agreement between the government of the Republic of Seychelles and the Indian Ocean Commission on the setting up of the Indian Ocean anti-piracy cell in Seychelles.

who will be calling on the government to introduce and encourage a culture of research and documentation at national level.
