Football: Land Marine Cup-Côte d’Or reach final with 2-1 win over La Passe |14 November 2012

Playing in front of their fans at the Amitié Stadium in an early kick-off, Côte d’Or edged visitors La Passe 2-1 in the first Land Marine Cup semifinal.

Malagasy Jean Tigana gave the home side a 1-0 half-time lead with a long range effort and Dean Suzette doubled their advantage in the second half, bringing his goals tally to five in two games.

Malagasy Valerie reduced the deficit for La Passe but Côte d’Or held on to claim another win against the La Digue-based team whom they also beat 2-1 in the Airtel Cup semifinal before going on to claim St Michel’s scalp to go into history books with a 1-0 victory in the final.

Côte d’Or’s opponents in Saturday’s final were to be known last night when Anse Reunion met St Francis in the second semifinal.
