Home2Office golf tournament -Patrick Asba steals the show

The winners with Mrs Ferrari

Played under an individual medal format, the blistering heat did not melt the spirits of some 30+ golfers as they battled it out over 18 holes.

Veteran Joe Elisa set the pace with a jaw-dropping 37 gross (27 net) on the front nine and it seemed that the tournament was really his to lose, despite a healthy 35 gross (33 net) by club manager Godfrey Andrade.

Andrade, playing with David Deltel (69 net) and Michele Risoli (67 net) set the club house lead at 65 net for his 18 holes. However, Joe Elisa was still out on the course and so were the likes of Patrick Asba and Erwin Pragassen, who were making their moves.

Unfortunately, Elisa was making moves in the wrong direction as he came in with a disappointing 49 gross on the back nine allowing Andrade to maintain his club house lead.

However, Asba, playing in the final group, picked a fine day to return to form with a brilliant 3 under par 31 gross on the back nine to steal the show, giving him a total net score of 65 for his 18 holes, thus beating Andrade on the count-back.

Erwin Pragassen also finished off very strongly and recorded a total net score of 66 to finish third.

Subsidiary prizes went to Joe Elisa (fourth place), Michele Risoli (best front nine), Jemmy Esther (best back nine), Martin Walker (nearest to the pin) and Andrew Hoareau (longest drive).

Brigitte Ferrari, the managing director of Home2Office, was on hand to present the winners with their prizes from Palson available from her shop in Victoria.
