Agency for Social Protection gets new chief executive |27 November 2012

Mr Cosgrow took office yesterday and replaces Jacqueline Pierre, who passed away last week.

Mr Cosgrow was previously the director general for civil service affairs in the office of the secretary of state for cabinet affairs since April 2012.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of East London, United Kingdom.

Mr Cosgrow was employed in 2003 as a senior research officer at the department of employment until 2005 when he was transferred to the department of natural resources as economist.

In 2010, Mr Cosgrow returned to the department of employment and occupied the position of director for industrial relations in the labour relations division, where he remained until 2012.
