Latest venture to bring new life to night entertainment

24 Entertainment, as the new venture is called, will be launched during a club event dubbed ‘The Urban Takeover Night’ at the Tequilla Boom Night Club.

24 Entertainment is the brainchild of Daniel Vadivello, also the man behind Kreol FM.

Speaking to Nation yesterday, Daniel -- himself a singer and DJ and now the chief executive of UK-based Kreol Media Group -- said the aim is to offer something new and different in terms of night entertainment to Seychellois club goers.

“The idea is to organise club nights, concerts, other events and we aim to bring in international DJs, reggae artists from the UK and the States and have them perform alongside Seychellois artists,” said Daniel, noting that a DJ from London will be present during the launch of 24 Entertainment here on Saturday.

“Every time we will do a club event we are calling it an ‘urban takeover’ simply meaning people taking over the whole evening,” he pointed out.

Performing on Saturday for the launch will be DJs Ezy D, Antonius alongside local artists like Ion Kid, Champion, among others.

So far Daniel’s company in London has hosted local artists like Philippe Toussaint, Chico Martino, Dave Sinon and Ron Payet.

With the launch of 24 Entertainment in Seychelles, Daniel said the aim is also to get international artists to come and perform here and see how local people like it.
“We are starting with the DJ and club night but plan to move to other things like concerts next year,” Daniel said.

“We want to see how the crowd here enjoy this new venture,” he said.

Daniel said so far he has had some very good responses from artists and sponsors here and now it remains to prove that the company means serious business, of which he is very optimistic.

“We have been doing this in London for some years now and I am looking forward to make it work  here,” he said.

“Urban takeover is going to be completely different from everything club goers have been used to. Just be there to see and feel for yourselves. It will be up to you all to judge,” Daniel added.

“It is definitely not the kind of music clubbers are used to hearing in other nightclubs but a completely different mix,” he stressed.
