VIOAS magazine now available on Etihad’s flights |24 December 2012

A communiqué from the office of Mahé Publications Ltd. says this follows discussions between its chairman, James Mancham, and the management of Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi last month.

Speaking about this development from his Glacis-sur-Mer office, Derek Pothin, marketing director of Mahé Publications Ltd, said that this was an important breakthrough for the promotion of Seychelles, its tourism and hotel industry.

“Indeed we are very proud that Etihad Airways has provided us a space alongside such internationally renowned magazines like Time, Newsweek and The Economist.”

The VIOAS (Voice of the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea) magazine is a bi-monthly magazine published by Mr Mancham since year 2010, with the objective of promoting national unity, Seychelles tourism and hotel industry, the fight against piracy, environmental preservation and the promotion of friendship and goodwill regionally and internationally.

The magazine does not involve itself in local partisan politics and has welcomed the acquisition by Etihad Airways of 40 per cent of Air Seychelles as an important factor for the survival and growth of our national airline.

Etihad Airways also holds equity investments in Air Berlin, Virgin Australia and Aer Lingus, and has codeshare partnerships with 41 airlines around the world.
