Strong odour drives revenue commission staff out of offices |18 January 2013
The Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services (SFRS) were alerted and sent a vehicle with three men who tried to investigate the source of the odour to no avail.
“We searched everywhere but found nothing even after we switched the power back on,” said SFRS spokesperson Jones Madeleine.
The commission’s staff said the odour was pungent and some people’s eyes turned red and produced tears, amid reports some reported for medical check-up although nobody was said to be seriously hurt.
The situation returned to normal and work continued uninterrupted for the rest of the day.
