Basketball: AfroBasket 2013 -Seychelles make losing start |20 February 2013

On Monday night in Maputo, Mozambique, the country’s men’s team lost 52-76 to Zambia in the four-team round-robin league competition.
The team will meet hosts Mozambique today in their third and last match of the league phase.
In yesterday’s other men’s match, Mozambique thrashed Botswana 105-19.

At the end of the league pase, all four teams will move to the semifinals where the group winners will meet the last-placed team, and the runners-up will clash with the third place finishers.

The two losing semifinalists will meet in the third place play-off match on Friday February 22 and the final between the winners of the two last-four encounters is scheduled for Saturday February 23.

The winners of the tournament will qualify for the Afro-Basket 2013 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast from August 20-31.
