Switch off lights tonight to mark earth hour |23 March 2013

Homes and businesses in Seychelles are invited to show their solidarity for the global movement for a more sustainable world and take part in this symbolic act for the planet.

This year earth hour has a special focus on challenging others to do something for the planet on a more long term basis, the “I will if you will” campaign.

For the past nine years, millions of people around the world have been switching off their lights and appliances to mark earth hour each March.

Earth hour was first organised by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) in Australia but it quickly gained popularity and grew into a global event. Now the event is used to bring people together around the world around the common theme of working together towards sustainability.  The one hour where we symbolically switch off our lights is just the beginning.
