 What are the system requirements for ASYCUDA World users (DTI)?

Currently the Seychelles Revenue Commission (SRC) Customs Division is using ASYCUDA ++ version but will be migrating to ASYCUDA World on April 15, 2013 starting with Seaport operation and on May 2, 2013 at the airport.

To be able to access the ASYCUDA World, the Direct Traders Input (the agent or importer who is responsible for the input of the declarations in the Customs system) must guarantee the right environment to avoid technical problems. To be able to validate a bill of entry Direct Traders Input (DTI) must also make an application with the Department of Information Communications Technology (DICT) for a digital signature to use with the ASYCUDA World. DICT can be contacted on 4286609.

What are the system requirements for ASYCUDA World?
The ASYCUDA client runs on the most popular JAVA-enabled desktops such as Windows, and can start from any web browser. To connect to the ASYCUDA World the requirements are:
1. Hard ware requirements: 
• Processor: clock frequency greater than 2GHz
• Operating system: Windows 7 professional will be an asset
• Standard memory : 2GB or more
• Ethernet Card: Gigabit Ethernet LAN10/100/1000

2. Internet connection:
ASYCUDA World users must have good internet connections with speed greater or equal to 1MB or more will be an asset.

3. Software requirements
1. Web browser: ASYCUDA World can be accessible from any browser. Ensure that it is a recent version.
2. JAVA: it is strongly recommended to have JAVA 1.6 or more. The software can be downloaded from the ASYCUDA World portal  at  www.asycuda.org
3.  Acrobat Adobe Reader:  It is good to have this software as to be able to access printouts and reports as they are available in PDF format.

How to check your system specifications?
To check the hardware specifications and identify if they meet the requirements for ASYCUDA World, the users must do the following: 
1. Select ‘start’
2. Right click on ‘My computer’
3. Choose the properties option.
4. The System properties menu will be displayed with the information.
