Vijay T-20 cricket league -Vijay ‘A’ outplay Young Stars |25 April 2013

The openers added 58 for the first wicket; Lalji scored 26 runs before he was caught out by the bowling of Dharmesh. Then Mahesh joined Kaushal in the middle, both scoring freely.
Milind gave Young Stars a breakthrough by bowling Kaushal Patel for 40 runs. Byron got the big wicket of Aravind cheaply, and Mahesh for 32 runs.

Vijay’s middle order chipped in with some useful runs with captain Dheeraj making 13 runs, while both Manish and Dinesh got 15 runs. These took Vijay ‘A’’s score to a mighty 180 runs. Dharmesh and Byron shared six wickets for Young Stars.

In reply, Young Stars lost the first 4 wickets for 21 runs. From there they were never in to chase the big score. Ashay and Dharmesh added 30 runs for the 5th wicket which gave some respect to Young Stars’ total.

International paceman Mukesh took 4 wickets for 16 runs, Aravind and Kaushal shared 4 wickets before Young Stars were bowled out for 92 runs to lose the match by 88 runs.
Summary: Vijay ‘A’ – 180 for 9 (Kaushal 40, Mahesh 32, Lalji 26, Dharmesh 3 for16, Byron 3 for 40) beat Young Stars – 92 all out (Ashay- 23, Dharmesh 19, Mukesh 4 for 16)

777 beat Patel Youth

The 777 team beat Patel Youth in a low-scoring match at the Roche Caïman field on Sunday afternoon.

After choosing to bat, 777 lost opener Nataraj for 3 runs, then Kiran joined Gauraw and steadied the 777 innings. They both added 45 runs for the second wicket. Gauraw scored 24 runs before he was bowled by Dharmesh and later Paresh took the wicket of Kiran for 23 runs. After that, the 777 batsmen failed to make an impact in the game, losing wickets in regular intervals and were bundled out for 99 runs. Paresh was the most successful bowler and was very well supported by Divesh and Dharmesh.

In reply, Patel Youth captain Naresh was bowled by Sheenu on the very first ball. Patel Youth then lost wickets in regular interval. Divesh was the only batsman who showed some temperament to stay in the middle, but he lost partners very quickly, scoring 19 runs before he was bowled by Kiran.

The 777 bowlers maintained good pressure on Patel Youth batsmen and managed to take wickets. All the 777 bowlers managed to get into the wicket column, captain Krishna Naidoo leading from the front in taking wickets. He took 3 wickets, Kiran and Sheenu supported him with 2 wickets each.

With the help of 38 extra runs, Patel Youth ended their chase for 88 runs and lost the match by 11 runs.
