Vieira watches as a young Seychellois chest traps the ball

Mr Ball was speaking after at the last clinic held yesterday afternoon at Stad Linite where about 80 children were in attendance.
He believes that the programme’s target has been met in developing and giving the youths a higher level of football training and is also hoping for more investments in youth development in the country.

Seychelles Football Federation (SFF) chairman Elvis Chetty was understandably satisfied with the way the programme has gone about and he told Sports Nation that some of the children have made an impression on the Manchester City Football Club’s (MCFC) coaches.

He also mentioned that the clinics held on Praslin where successful and some of the SSF representatives and Praslin children managed to have a little friendly match with MCFC coaches which could have only strengthened the relationship between the two parties.

MCFC’s football development executive Patrick Vieira was very happy with how things went and said he will certainly return to Seychelles in the near future, though he did not specify whether it will be on holiday or on a similar visit.

Legendary former Arsenal and France captain Vieira and professional Manchester City coaches ran coaching clinics for three days – Saturday, Sunday and Monday – under the  first ever Manchester City Seychelles soccer school 2013.
