New private clinic opens its doors at Anse Etoile |13 May 2013

The official opening of Eureka was held last Friday in the presence of chief justice Fredrick Egonda-Ntende, Minister for Health Mitcy Larue and several other guests.

Speaking at the ceremony, chairperson of the board of directors of Eureka Medical Services, Chrystold Chetty said the clinic’s mission is to endeavour to give health care of high standard within the reach of every person.

“Our commitment to care will translate into a simple slogan – ‘We put patients first’,” he said.

Mr Chetty said it will be vital to maintain a necessary framework for sustainability, viability and future development.
“We will try to do this through frugal innovation- that is doing more with less.”

After the cutting of the ribbon by Minister Larue and Mr Chetty to officially open the new clinic, guests were given a tour of the building and briefed on the services which are offered there.
Eureka is open during weekdays from 8.30am to 5.30pm and until 1pm on Saturdays.

The clinic has a general surgeon, an orthopaedic surgeon and four members of support staff. A cardiologist and a gynaecologist are expected to join the team soon.
The clinic is found in the same building which housed the Full Moon Restaurant.
