NCC patron’s Children’s Day message-‘You are our country’s most valuable resources’ |01 June 2013

“My heart is touched yet again ever so deeply as I think of all the Seychellois children all over our islands and wish that I could be with every one of you celebrating this happy memorable day!

“But my thoughts will stay with you throughout the day as I want to see you all grow up to become responsible and happy adults. I want all of you to find happiness and meanings in your lives. I want you to feel good about who you are and to pursue your dreams and do well in school and in your career.  “And as you grow up, I want you to develop healthy relationships, to feel connected to the world in which you live, and to find love in your heart for yourselves and for others too. And as you start and end this day, I want you to be thoughtful, respectful and to cultivate an attitude of gratitude for all you have today!  You children are our country’s most valuable resources and our best hope for the future. Happy Children’s Day!
