Search for missing man stops, inquiry goes on |10 June 2013

It was around 8pm on Sunday May 19 that a police officer discovered and alerted the Anse Aux Pins station on an unattended and unlocked blue Terios jeep parked near the Reef Holiday Apartment. In the jeep were personal belongings later identified as Terry Jules’, a 34-year-old man of Anse à la Mouche.

Search carried out by the police, including the dog unit, coastguard, family members and friends for days after the reported incident concentrated mainly along the coast from Fairyland to the airport, as well as on and around Ile Soleil.

Police say they also went as far as making door-to-door visits around the area where Terry’s jeep was found.

The police have also said that since May 19, the criminal investigation unit has interviewed over a dozen people in an attempt to get a clearer picture of Terry’s whereabouts or what could have happened to him.

As investigation in this case continues, the police are once again appealing to anyone who has any information which could prove vital to establishing facts regarding the disappearance of Terry Jules to call criminal investigation unit office or telephone number 133 where one’s identity is barred and confidentiality is guaranteed.
