Table Tennis-Créa and Sinon take June challenge titles |12 June 2013

Créa’s win in the men’s division one final came against Nicholas Esther on a 4-2 score. Créa lost the first set 9-11 before rallying back to win the second and third sets 13-11 and 11-9. The game was level again after Créa lost out 8-11 in the fourth set, but he regained his composure in the next two sets which he won 14-12 and 11-9 to win the match.
In the ladies’ division one, it was Sinon who caused an upset as she defeated last month’s winner Christy Bristol 4-2.

At the start, it looked like it was going to be another win for Bristol as she dominated the first set which she won 11-4.

Sinon fought back to take the second set 11-5 but was again outdone by Bristol in the third losing 3-11. Despite being the underdog, Sinon fought hard to claim victory in the next three sets – 11-9, 14-12 and 11-8 – to put an end to the match and celebrate victory

In the boy’s division two, Darius Thomas played to an easy 3-0 (11-7, 11-6, 11-9) victory over Dorian Banane. The girls’ division three saw Kim Hoareau and Emma Bristol fight it out in the final and it was the former who won 3-1 (11-9, 6-11, 11-4, 11-8).

Dylan Siméon took victory in the boys’ division three on a 3-1 (14-12, 11-8, 10-12, 11-7) score against Mael Youpa.
