The islands were represented at the May 30 - June 2 fair by the regional manager of Seychelles Tourist Office in Korea, Julie Kim; the Seychelles honorary consul general, Dong Chang Jeong; and representatives from 7 Degrees South and Creole Travel Services.

Visitors of KOTFA highly appreciated the Seychelles stand, which featured photos showing the heavenly beauty of Seychelles and showcased Seychelles artifacts, delicacies and newspapers.

Seychelles had a lucky draw with complimentary accommodation at Le Domaine de l’Orangeraie (4 nights) as the 1st prize and 49 other prizes including Seychelles marathon T-shirt, posters, Seychelles travel guide book and other items which will remind the winners of Seychelles.

On June 1 and 2, the stand held a survival O/X quiz whereby the last top 5 won prizes ranging from Seychelles travel guide book and posters to Seychelles artifacts.
The other participants received Seychelles turtle toys sponsored by Mr Dong.

During the fair, the Seychelles stand was interviewed by Korean No. 1 English channel, Arirang TV, which airs its news to 9.7 million households in the four corners of the world in real time.

Seychelles was presented with its best publicity award during the fair’s closing ceremony.

KOTFA is the biggest and oldest consumer and trade Fair in South Korea, which this year was attended by around 400 organisations from 56 countries. It was visited by over 110,000 people.
Seychelles is emerging rapidly in the Korean market as ‘the’ destination for honeymoon and family holidays.
