Art gallery to move back to National Cultural Centre |25 June 2013

The Art gallery had been temporarily closed to make way for the National History Museum, whose building on State House avenue was being occupied by the Court of Appeal. The return of the gallery space to the artists has been made possible now that the Court of Appeal has moved to the new Palais de Justice at Ile du Port.

The announcement is without doubt good news for artists, as since the closure of the gallery, they had been holding exhibitions in much smaller rooms at the neighbouring Carrefour des Arts building.

Minister St. Ange has thanked the artists for the understanding, cooperation and patience shown during the time which they had lost the space where from now own, they will be able to hold larger exhibitions.
