Parents urged to support their children

The parents listening to Dr Malulu’s presentation

Education principal secretary Merida Delcy made these comments this week during a meeting with parents of students of the Mont Fleuri primary and secondary schools.

The meeting, held in the school’s auditorium, follows the ones held with teachers and students.

Present at the meeting were Education Minister Macsuzy Mondon and other ministry officials.

Mrs Delcy thanked the parents for the good turnout and said the main aim of the meeting was to discuss problems the schools are facing.

“With your help we hope that Mont Fleur primary and secondary schools can become good schools where our pupils will be safe and where learning will take place in a very conducive environment,” Mrs Delcy told the parents.

The Ministry of Education has said it will be having meetings with parents from all schools to discuss relevant issues related to schools attended by their children.

To emphasise the campaign against underage drinking launched in May, Dr Daniella Malulu gave a detailed presentation on the dangers of alcohol drinking in children.
