Musicians and DJs visit hospitalised colleague |27 June 2013
Known for his famous Rock and Roll songs à la Elvis Presley style, Mr Octave was presented with a hamper containing healthy products and an acoustic guitar which he can play while at the hospital.
He was tremendously touched by this gesture, especially with the presence of fellow musicians who came to extend their support to him.
The visit was organised by the Seychelles National Youth Council (SNYC) in collaboration with Seychelles Musicians Association (SMA) and is an activity to promote compassion and care in order to make a difference in the lives of others.
The group comprised 30 participants including eight young musical entertainers who took part in a two-day ‘edutainment’ workshop held by the SNYC at the beginning of May 2013 to raise the awareness of local artists on issues affecting the youths in Seychelles.
It was during this workshop that it was suggested that the participants take part in this random act of kindness.
Also present were members of the SMA, staff of the SNYC and the hospital.
