 Ralf releases 11th album in live concert

Ralf, one of Seychelles' most revered artists

Tickets for the concert, which started a little after 7.30pm, were sold out and still many of his fans were at the door hoping to get the chance to see the artist perform live.

The artist
In addition to featuring the songs on the album, Saturday’s concert also included several old hits of the artist whose stage name is Ralf.

The show attracted a great number of fans and guests, among whom were principal secretary for culture Benjamine Rose and chief executive of the National Arts Council (Nac) Jimmy Savy.

They were both presented with a copy of the album from the artist himself before the show.

Ralf’s new collection comprises 12 tracks and is on sale at Kot Do for now.

Accompanied by his group The Suns, Ralf kicked off his show with a much loved song Zoli zour which was also the title of his last album released in 2000.
Other songs like Mardi Apremidi and Mon Lanz were among those that were much appreciated by the audience.

The album has three songs in English including the title track Water, while the remaining ones are in Creole.
The launch of Ralf’s 11th album coincided with this year’s Fête de la Musique.

Ralf has expressed words of thanks to the Seychelles Breweries Limited, Seychelles Trading Company Duty Free shop and the Nac that have sponsored the release of his album.
