Sri Lankan President to address special National Assembly |28 June 2013

President of the Democratic Socialist of the Republic of Sri Lanka, Mr Rajapaksa will deliver his address to the house at 2pm.

Prior to the sitting, President Rajapaksa will pay a courtesy call on the Speaker, Dr Patrick Herminie.

President Rajapaksa will arrive here tomorrow on a State visit until July 1 at the invitation of President James Michel.

Other than addressing the National Assembly, President Rajapaksa will call on State House, take part in a special tree-planting ceremony at the Barbarons Biodiversity Centre, oversee the signing of various cooperation agreements with the government of Seychelles, and visit the Vallée de Mai on Praslin.

It is to be recalled that President Michel undertook a State visit to Sri Lanka in August last year.
