Volleyball: National League-100% first-round winning record for Premium Spikers

Spikers have garnered 15 points with 15 sets for and only four against. In the last first-round league match last weekend, Premium Spikers handed Beau Vallon its first league defeat in a five-set thriller which lasted 125 minutes.

The players of coach Bernard denis won the match 3-2 (25-21, 22-25, 25-15, 19-25, 16-14). The defeat keeps Beau Vallon second on 13 points from five matches. They have won 14 sets and conceded five.

Neo Boyz finished the first round third on 11 points with 12 sets for and eight against. In their last league match, they defeated Racing Club 3-2. The set scores were 25-20, 19-25, 25-17, 19-25 and 15-12.

Occupying the fourth position, Racing Club have nine points with nine sets for and nine against.
Praslin-based BSA Spikers are fifth on five points. The last victory was through a walk-over on Anse Royale. They have three sets for, compared to 12 against.

The defeat pushed Anse Royale to the bottom of the table on four points. They have conceded 15 sets without winning any.
In the women’s league, leaders Cascade are so far maintaining a clean sheet with five wins out of five matches. In their last league match they defeated Santa West 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-22). Cascade have 15 sets for and only two against.

Arsu are second on 14 points from six matches. In their last league match they defeated La Digue 3-0. The set scores were 25-21,25-19 and 25-20. Arsu have won 13 sets and lost six.

With 12 points from four wins out of four matches, Friends are third on the league table. They have 12 sets for and have not conceded any.

La Digue are fourth on 11 points from three wins and two losses from five matches, with nine sets for and eight against.
Both OSC Comets and Juniors are on seven points from a single win and four losses out of five matches. The former have a superior set difference, pushing them one step ahead on the table in the fifth place.

Praslin Volleyball Club (PVC) are occupying the seventh place on the league table, with five points from a win and two losses, while Santa West are carrying the weight of the table with five points from five losses.
