They received their awards during a special ceremony held recently by zone 3 schools at the Cascade community centre. Zone three schools comprise the School for the Exceptional Child, Au Cap, Cascade, Anse Aux Pins, Pointe Larue primary and secondary and Plaisance primary and secondary.

The ceremony, the fifth of its kind, was attended by the Minister for Education Macsuzy Mondon, principal secretary Merida Delcy, director general for schools Odile Octave, chairman of the Seychelles Head teacher’s Association (SHA) Cyril Pillay, members of the National Assembly representing the zone 3 districts, head teachers and teachers of zone 3 schools and students.

The Ministry of Education says the aim of the activity is to reward students for their performance in P6 national exams, IGCSE, Diplôme Éleve de la Langue Française (DELF) as well as social and life skills and encourages other schools to follow zone three’s example.
