Port-Louis/Esparon duo win-Darts: Association doubles

03-August-2012

In the best-of-seven final, Port-Louis and Esparon blanked the pair of Jean Andrade and Jack Micock 4-0.

The winning pair topped the six-team pool A with four points and met the duo of Charles Amarnath and Prabu Chetty in the best-of-three quarterfinal, winning 2-1.

And in the best-of-five semifinal, they clashed against Ranga Chetty and Collin Esparon to win 3-1.

Losing finalists Andrade and Micock qualified for the knockout stage of the competition as the third best team with three points from pool A and earned a 2-0 win against Fabien Antat and Alex Chetty in the quarterfinals before edging the duo of Paul Vidot and Percy Quatre 3-2 in the semifinal.

After dropping the first two games, Vidot and Quatre put together some strong play to win the next three and finish as third place winners with a 3-2 victory over Ranga Chetty and Collin Esparon in the third place play-off match.

Twelve duos registered and competed in the tournament. They were divided into two pools of six with the top four progressing to the quarterfinals.
