Kreolor takes on Jouel as strategic partner-Jewellery firms team up to boost industry

12-November-2012

This strategic tie-up, which took effect on September 1, 2012, is expected to reinforce the firms’  respective    market  penetrations.

The new partnership will blend the strengths of the  two well-¬‐known brands and  will boost  sales to visitors as well as to local residents.

By offering authentic Seychelles-¬‐made, premium products, the Kreolor-Jouel partnership  aims primarily at developing the Kreolor brand – a 22-year-old company  which has  stood the test of time.

Very    few companies can boast having  their production based in Seychelles and the new venture plans on promoting this aspect of the Kreolor  brand, with the long-term aim being that of exporting the Seychellois brand Kreolor to overseas market.

Kreolor has outlets  in key strategic locations throughout the  country thus increasing tourism revenues for  the benefit of  the  Seychelles’ economy.

Outlets include Victoria, Praslin,  La  Digue and the Mahe International Airport Duty Free Lounge, not to mention the hotel partnerships at  Ephelia Resort & Spa and Le Meridien Fisherman’s  Cove  Hotel.

Jouel’s interest in Kreolor brings to the forefront its own international expertise in jewellery branding and retail development.

This partnership  with Kreolor, a company known for high quality jewellery and craft, will consolidate the competitive strengths from both organisations.

New  channels  are  being  identified  to  seize  opportunities for profitable increase of    sales thereby  leveraging the competitive  strengths of  the two  brands with the help of  the  expertise  of the two teams.

Kreolor will continue to be  run by a young and dynamic  team  of dedicated Seychellois    employees, within a structured sales network, and will continue to operate out of its head office  at Le Rocher, Mahe.

The Kreolor brand will  remain independent  and will not merge with the Jouel brand. Each brand will be promoted based on its unique  strengths.

However,  one thing  is  certain,  this merger will result in creating synergies  that will    create a win-¬‐win for our customers, the  Seychelles  jewellery industry and    the  country’s economy.
