JJ Spirit Foundation winds up volunteer programme at Beau Vallon school

The painting activity in full swing

JJ Spirit’s executive director Eddy Charles said this was the 16th repainting project undertaken by the young volunteers of JJ Spirit for 2012 and it involved some 40 youths from north Mahe.
It was undertaken at the request of the school’s head teacher Vivienne Fred and the chairperson of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) Justin Freminot.

Another recent similar activity involved the repainting of the house of an elderly resident of Anse Aux Pins, Marie-Andrée Esparon.

This followed a request made to President James Michel, who is also the movement’s patron, during a tour of the district.

Most of the volunteer activities are coordinated by events coordinator Christa Payet.
Mr Charles said the JJ Spirit Foundation presently has over 14,000 members aged between 12 and 35 years including affiliate members or non-Seychellois.

The JJ Spirit Foundation is also involved in other projects such as tree planting and cleaning up waste.
