The team arrived in the country yesterday afternoon and were met at the Seychelles International Airport by foreign affairs principal secretary Maurice Loustau-Lalanne and the defence attaché of the Belgium embassy based in Nairobi, Kenya, Frederik Delorez.

Re-emphasising the cooperation between Seychelles and Belgium and seeing how Seychelles has become a great example in fighting piracy is the main focus of their visit in the country.

Belgium and Seychelles have previously signed agreements of cooperation and the country has also helped us in other related areas.

The delegation is expected to visit several places including the Montagne Posée prison and will meet the local press on Sunday before leaving the country.
