Handball: Mohan leagues-MF Storm blow away APC Sisters’ challenge, Durantha Brothers win

In the women’s league, MF Storm came up against APC Sisters on Saturday and led by Marie-Claire Chetty’s 12 goals they powered past their opponents to win their first match of the second round. The final score of 40-13 confirmed just how dominant the Storm were against their opponents who had Rouma Agricole as their top scorer with three goals.

In the other women’s match, RC Diamond faced Juniors and the tight match finished on a 23-23 draw as they shared the spoils. Juniors’ Alanah Henry led the scoring with 10 goals while Juliette Henri and Anne Borneia scored seven goals apiece for RC Diamond.

Nine goals from Michel Dugasse ensured a 34-20 win for Durantha Brothers against Juniors in the men’s league.

Kieran Jean scored seven goals for Juniors but they were not enough to stop his team from losing the first match of this second round of the league.

AC Brothers faced PLS Hurricanes in their first second-round match and it was Michel Youpa who came up with the goods, delivering 12 goals for his AC Brothers team to lead the scoring on the day in a 37-29 win.

Kitson Julie’s eight goals proved to be too little to lift his team PLS Hurricanes to victory.
