New weekly newspaper in circulation |20 August 2019

The first ever edition of The Islander Weekly, a new newspaper produced by newly registered political party One Seychelles, and its online version The Islander Online, were officially launched on Saturday August 17, a day after certification documents confirming One Seychelles as a political party were presented to its president Alain St Ange.

The first edition of the paper features on the front page a message from party President St Ange, an article about the cost of living in Seychelles and another focused on the presidential campaigns among others.

The publication, priced at R10, will be circulated weekly and is positioned as part of independent publications.

One Seychelles president St Ange notes that the publication prides itself on guiding principles of respect and will be talking about the aspirations and the challenges being faced by the Seychellois population.

Many individual contributors are providing articles for the publication and the editor is Herve Anthony.
