Comoros league champions Fombini FC are here to play SeyPearl division one league champions Côte d’Or in the preliminary round second leg match of the Confédération Africaine du Football Champions League.

The return match is slated for tomorrow at 4pm at Stad Linite.

Seychelles champions Côte d’Or threw away a two-goal cushion to register a 2-2 away draw in Moroni on Sunday August 11, 2019.

Colin Esther gave Côte d’Or the lead in the first half, before Peter Adesinas doubled their lead in the second period. But Fombini scored twice in the second period to earn a 2-2 draw.

Fresh from becoming the first Praslin team to win the President’s Cup following a 1-0 win over St Louis on Saturday, Côte d’Or will surely be looking for a win tomorrow to progress to the first round of the most important and lucrative competition organised by the Confédération Africaine du Football (Caf).

Meanwhile, St Louis will also be in action this weekend, precisely on Sunday August 25 at 4pm at Stad Linite against TS Galaxy of South Africa in the Caf Confederations Cup.

Sports NATION has learned that the South African outfit are only expected here on Friday.

In the away match, Gran Kaz Cup winners St Louis lost 0-1 to TS Galaxy at the Mbombela United Stadium.

TS Galaxy found the breakthrough five minutes before the break through Sizwe Mdlinzo for a 1-0 advantage which they held on to until the final whistle.
