Cycling: 13km individual time trial  Ahmad Arissol bags another win

Race winner Ahmad Arissol was the last cyclist to start the 13km individual time trial

● One more team title for Vélo Club de l’Ouest

Well on form at the moment, Ahmad Arissol won his second race of the season, precisely a 13km individual time trial, the third to be hosted by the Seychelles Cycling Association on Sunday, while his team, the Vélo Club de l’Ouest, once again emerged as the best for the third consecutive time.

Saturday’s victory was the second in three races for Arissol, after winning he won the 65km circuit race two weeks ago.

For Sunday’s race, the starting point was at Roche Caïman, and from there, the 21 cyclists rode up the highway, before going round the ‘Ros Torti’ roundabout, retuning down via the same route to cover 13km.

Arissol, who rides for Vélo Club de l’Ouest, was the last rider to start, clocked 17 minutes 46 seconds (17:46) to finish first, ahead of Edrick Roucou of Northern Cycling Riders (NCR) who clocked 18:17.

Mario Ernesta also of the NCR finished third overall in 18:22, one spot ahead Bertrand Lesperance of the Option Max Cycling Club (OMCC) who was fourth in 18:24, ahead of Jayden Sinon of VCDL who placed fifth overall in 18:28.

Stephane Belle of the VCDL finished sixth overall in 18:54, ahead of teammate Jahdel Gabriel who clocked 18:58 to finish seventh.

Leeroy Labiche of the OMCC was eighth overall in 19:00, finishing ahead of Julian Pool of the NCR who clocked 19:06 to finish ninth overall.

Tenth in the 13km time trial was Dominic Arrisol of One Shot Pain Cycling Club (OSPCC), clocking 19:08 to finish ahead of Sebastien Florentine of the VCDL who was 11th overall (19:11)

Edward Pothin of the OSPCC was 12th overall in 19:37, ahead of 13th-placed Jeff Esparon of the OMCC who clocked 19:44.

NCR’s Ricky Rosalie was 14th overall in 19:45, finishing ahead of OMCC’s Yohan Monthy who was 15th in 19:57.

Chris Uzice of the VCDL Academy clocked 19:58 to finish 16th overall, ahead of teammate Lauren Jacques who was 17th in 20:01.

Jude Hoareau of the OMCC was 18th overall in 20:08, finishing ahead of Ashley Toussaint of the VCDL Academy who was ranked 19th overall, one place above teammate Trevor Malvina who took the 20th overall spot in 21:37.

Lario Harrison of the NCR did not complete the race.
