Football: Seychelles Schools’ Premier League weekly roundup  Plaisance boys’ team take the lead

Plaisance (Liverpool) are now six points clear at the top

● Anse Boileau girls shoot up the table

 

Leaders Plaisance Secondary School, wearing the colours of Liverpool, are now six points clear off their nearest rivals, Mont Fleuri School (Tottenham), after beating them 2-1 last week.

Fans are predicting that the two teams will be going head-to-head again in the cup final. 

Pointe Larue (Everton) are not too far behind after locking in three points against Anse Royale (Leicester), winning on an impressive 6-0 score. 

The most remarkable this season has been the Independent School boys’ team (Manchester United), who, unlike the previous two seasons, have been a force to reckon with.

Presently sitting in fourth place, they took on English River School (Aston Villa) with both teams earning one point after their 2-2 draw.

In another match played, Perseverance School (Arsenal) scored three goals again Anse Boileau (West Ham), for a 3-0 win, climbing from eighth to sixth place.

In the girls’ league, Anse Boileau lead the 11-team table with 16 points.

In the only girls’ match played last week, Anse Boileau drew 3-3 with Perseverance.
