H Savy Insurance rewards nature trail challenge competitors

All local contestants of the inaugural Seychelles Nature Trail Challenge held on Saturday May 13 have received a token of appreciation from local insurance firm H Savy Insurance, precisely the life section of the organisation.

Hosted jointly by the tourism department, National Sports Council (NSC) and Seychelles Parks and Gardens Authority (SPGA), the inaugural Seychelles Nature Trail Challenge gathered over 100 contestants, both locals and foreigners who covered a total distance of 22km on the heights of Mahe.

During a small ceremony held on Wednesday at the company’s office at Kingsgate House, the 12 local contestants were rewarded with monetary gifts, along with H Savy Insurance goodie bags in the presence of life manager Michelle Lafortune, director of the community, leisure and sports for all unit within the National Sports Council (NSC) Francis Remie, executive members of the Seychelles Challenge and Outward Bounds Association (Scoba), along with staff of the H Savy Insurance life department.

The 12 contestants are Greth Estico – who also finished the challenge first clocking 2 hours, 23 minutes (2h23:00), Jonathan Quatre, Geno Belle, Noah Chilinda, Trevor Lespoir, Damien Leong-Pong, Vanessa Sinon, Brenda Larue, Guisepina Grandcourt, Florise Ernesta, Anita Amasonga, Nelda Freminot and Chloe Banane.

On behalf of the contestants, Mr Remie thanked the insurance company for its support, which he said showed its commitment towards encouraging fitness and exercise which equals healthy lifestyle and more productive workforce.

He also encouraged the H Savy insurance to partner permanently with the Scoba, precisely in adopting and sponsoring an annual activity on the association’s calendar.
