Mont Fleuri girls bring Anse Boileau back to earth, Pointe Larue soar

In an exciting match on Mahe’s west coast, the leading girls' team, Anse Boileau Secondary (wearing the colours of West Ham), were beaten 2-0  by a determined Mont Fleuri.

League leaders Anse Boileau remain in first place, but the defeat from second placed Mont Fleuri closes the gap at the top to only two points.

In the second girls’ match of the week, Anse Royale (Leicester City) were no match for Pointe Larue (Everton). In a free-flowing, dominating performance, Pointe Larue ran in five goals without reply.

The emphatic victory resulted in a three-way tie in the league with Pointe Larue, their defeated rivals Anse Royale and Beau Vallon (Chelsea) all tied on six points.

In the boys’ competition, Independent School (Manchester United) once again drew in their most recent match against Beau Vallon (Chelsea), garnering only one point.

Perseverance (Arsenal) travelled south to face Anse Royale School (Leicester), and both teams put on an impressive display, resulting in a 2-2 draw.

The Anse Boileau (West Ham) and Belonie (Manchester City) match concluded in a thrilling 3-3 draw, with each team earning a well-deserved one point.

Last week’s matches extended beyond Mahe, with the La Digue Secondary boys’ team (Norwich City) making their way to Praslin to face off against the Praslin Secondary School team (Brighton). Unlike their last game, Praslin Secondary dominated their game, winning it 2- 0.
