The new black belt holders

Three new black belt first dan join the team

 

The Northern Tang Soo Do studio has welcomed three new black belt first dan holders to its line-up, following their successful grading during the weekend in Gaborone, Botswana.

The grading session took place during the World Tang Soo Do Association African Championship.

The three new black belt first dan holders are Jahvis Bernard, Che Benoiton and Steve Marie, while Joseph Bibi is now a black belt second dan, after he successfully completed his grading on his second attempt.

Other than grading, the team who also included Mastura Shah-Faure (second dan), Martin Cedras (second dan) and Dean Athanase (third Gup) competed at the tournament, precisely in open Hyung, Hyung with weapons, and sparring.

The continental event also included dan and Gup clinics, judging seminar and test among others in the presence of World Tang Soo Do Association Grand Master Robert Beaudouin.

The Seychelles team was being headed by Master James Faure who was also an international judge at the championship.
