‘Thank you India for your contribution towards human development in Seychelles’

On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of India, the president of United Seychelles (US) party, Dr Patrick Herminie, has sent a congratulatory message to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and the people of India.

The president of United Seychelles has thanked India for its contribution towards human development in Seychelles and for safeguarding peace and security in the Indian Ocean. “Our countries share common goals towards peace and security in the Indian Ocean where India plays a significant role in assisting Seychelles to safeguard its exclusive economic zone against illicit and criminal activities,” says Dr Herminie.

In his message Dr Herminie has commended the active engagement of Seychellois who are of Indian origin in the economic development of Seychelles.

Dr Herminie concludes his message by reaffirming United Seychelles’ support to India and wishing to see a strengthening of the close ties that exist between the two countries.
