Seychelles’ selections lose to Maldives and Mayotte |28 August 2023

Seychelles’ men’s and women’s national selections taking part in the basketball 3x3 at the 11th Indian Ocean Islands Games lost their two group matches at the hands of Maldives and Mayotte yesterday.

The men’s selection made up of Nigel Cafrine, Anil Charlette, Alf Aglae and Brandon Belmont lost 12-15 to Maldives, before losing their other match 17-21 to Mayotte in group B.

They will be in action against Mauritius today.

In the women’s competition, Team Seychelles, made up of Veena Marie, Guyra Boniface, Jennifer Bonne, and Bernadette Songor lost their first match 17-21 to Mayotte, before losing 7-14 to Maldives in group B.
