Speaker sends out condolences on the passing of former MNA Marc Volcère |02 September 2023

“It is with sadness that the National Assembly of Seychelles has learned of the demise of ex MNA Marc Volcère,” stated a press release from the Office of the Speaker sent out yesterday.

The press release went on to state that the former member of the National Assembly served as representative of the Grand Anse Praslin constituency during the fourth and fifth Assembly.

“On behalf of the National Assembly and on my own behalf, I express condolences to his family and friends and to the United Seychelles party for the loss of a prominent personality within their party. May the soul of Marc Volcère rest in eternal peace,” it concluded.

Mr Volcère died on August 24. His funeral service will be held today as from 10am at St. Matthew’s Church, Grand Anse Praslin, after which Mr Volcère will be laid to rest in the church’s cemetery.
