President Faure extends condolence message to Japan | 15 October 2019
President Faure has expressed his condolences to the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, upon learning of the disastrous impact of the typhoon Hagibis.
“I was profoundly saddened to hear of the disastrous impact of the typhoon Hagibis that has unleashed unprecedented rain and catastrophic flooding which has claimed the lives of your citizens,” noted President Faure.
President Faure also conveyed “in the wake of this tragedy, the government and people of the Republic of Seychelles join me in expressing our profound condolences to the people and government of Japan”.
“It is my fervent wish that Japan may return to normalcy as soon as possible,” added the President.
