Four young boxers will leave the country on Wednesday to take part in a competition scheduled to take place in Rostov Russia in early November, where they will also attend a training camp.

The young pugilists – Michael Salum (56.3 kg) category, Trevor Uranie (57.8kg), Jade Micock (75kg), and Wess Jean-Charles (81kg) – will be accompanied by coaches Gerry Legras and Roland Raforme.

They received their plane tickets from deputy mayor of Rostov, Yury Ovchinnikov, Russian Ambassador to Seychelles Artem Kozhin, and principal secretary for Youth and Sports, Ralph Jean-Louis, yesterday during a small ceremony held at the Mayor's Office in Victoria, in the presence of Acting Mayor Lydia Charlie.

The trip has been made possible under the Twinning Agreement between the City of Victoria and the City of Rostov-on-Don, Russia.

The delegation is expected back on November 13.
