Major progress in works on Praslin to mitigate coastal erosion and road degradation

Rock armouring work completed at Anse Marie Louise

Following the visit of President Wavel Ramkalawan on Tuesday on Praslin, work to install rock armouring started on Wednesday and was completed earlier yesterday at Anse Marie Louise.

Work to protect the coast of Anse Marie Louise and the removal of hazardous trees will also begin by the coming weekend.
Rock armouring work along Amitié Road to Roche Corbiseau, where coastal erosion continues to degrade the road, is progressing well and should be completed by the weekend.
Following the progress and hard work of the contractors, President Ramkalawan has expressed satisfaction at the rate with which works are progressing and conveyed words of appreciation to all the teams on the ground on Praslin for giving their best to ensure work on the various sites are completed effectively.

President Ramkalawan was accompanied by Vice-President Ahmed Afif on his visit to Praslin.
