10th Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG) – Mauritius – July 19-28, 2019     Games’ torch leaves Seychelles today

The torch of the10th Indian Ocean Island Games leaves Seychelles today after completing its four-day tour.

Yesterday, it was the turn of people from Praslin and La Digue to join in the torch relay.

The torch leaves today for Mauritius. It arrived on Saturday night and was carried by Seychelles Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (Socga) president Antonio Gopal, who is also the president of the Conseil International des Jeux (Cij).

The torch toured Mahé on Monday and Tuesday.

Socga’s secretary general Alain Alcindor and chief executive of the National Sports Council (NSC) Jean Larue, were there alongside the bank’s staff to welcome the torch.

The 10th Indian Ocean Island Games (IOIG) will take place in Mauritius from July 19-28, 2019.
