Tanzanian businessman remanded for importation of approximately 750g of suspected cocaine |14 November 2019

The Magistrate Court has remanded for 14 days a 28-year-old Tanzanian businessman residing in Tanzania for the offence of importation of a controlled drug.

The man, who was travelling on an Air Seychelles flight from Johannesburg, South Africa to Seychelles during the night of Sunday November 10, 2019, was arrested the following day, Monday November 11, 2109 by officers of the Anti-Narcotics Bureau (ANB) of the Seychelles Police Force in collaboration with custom officers.

He was arrested in possession of approximately 750 grammes of suspected cocaine which he excreted in the form of cylindrical packets.

He will reappear before the court on November 25, 2019.
